Moto G42 is a new smartphone priced under Rs 15,000 that was released in India. The low-cost smartphone is the latest addition to the G-series, competing with the Redmi Note 11, Realme 9i, Samsung Galaxy M13, and other smartphones priced under Rs 15,000.

Specifications
The Moto G42 is a low-cost 4G smartphone powered by a Snapdragon 680 SoC. The device is available in a single storage configuration that includes 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded with a microSD card up to 1TB.
The rear panel is made of plastic, which helps to keep the weight under 175 grams. Motorola has added some water splash resistance, which is sufficient to earn the phone an IP52 rating.
The display on the device is 6.4-inch AMOLED with a Full HD+ resolution. It has a standard refresh rate of 60Hz and a 20:9 aspect ratio. The front camera has a hole-punch cutout in the top center.
The Moto G42’s rear camera setup includes a 50MP sensor with an f/1.8 aperture. It has an 8MP ultrawide camera as well as a 2MP macro sensor. According to Motorola, the 8MP ultrawide camera also functions as a depth sensor. The phone has a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video calls.

The Moto G42 is priced at Rs 13,999 in India. Customers with an SBI card can get a Rs 1,000 discount as part of the launch offers, bringing the effective price down to Rs 12,999. There are also Jio benefits worth Rs 2,549 available with the Rs 419 plan. The Moto G42 is available in two colors: Atlantic Green and Metallic Rose.
