After a fortnight of recuperation at Anasara Ghara, the cured sibling deities have left for Naba Jaubana Besha at Puri Jagannath shrine.
After the Anasara era, two important rites occur: Naba Jaubana Darshan and Netroutsav. The Naba Jaubana Besha is a major rite because it commemorates the rejuvenation of the sibling deities Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra. During this occasion, the Daitas execute a traditional bath and repaint the bodies of brother deities, excluding their eyes, to represent his fresh energy and youth.
According to reports, the Dutta Mahapatra servitors successfully performed the Banaka Lagi ceremonies on Wednesday, demonstrating a remarkable display of devotion and tradition. In a brilliant display of devotion and tradition, the Naba Jaubana Darshan of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, and Devi Subhadra began this morning at Puri’s famed Jagannath Temple. As the countdown to the Rath Yatra 2025 begins, the sacred city of Puri is abuzz with anticipation. Tomorrow, the almighty trinity will begin their spectacular trip from the Jagannath Temple to the Gundicha Temple, enchanting millions of hearts.
Meanwhile, the temple administration has painstakingly organized for devotees to observe Trinity’s Naba Jaubana besha in an orderly manner.
Devotees can see the holy Lords during specially designated darshan sessions. The ticketed darshan took place from 8 to 9 a.m., while the public darshan is held from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
As we all know, the deities go into seclusion for 15 days following Snana Purnima. On the eve of the Ratha Yatra, they are beautifully adorned and ornamented and offer darshan to guests. They wear lovely robes and resemble people at the start of their youth (Nava Jaubana).
On the second day of Asadha Shuklapahya, Rath Yatra, after Nabajouban darshan and Netroutsav, the Lords visit the Srigundicha temple. Devotees eagerly await the opportunity to see Navayuvan for a year. Netrosab and Navayauvana Tithi may overlap slightly. Netrosab refers to the final touch of Navayauvana Vesha in the eyes of the Mahaprabhu.
