Puri: After a 14-day hibernation, Lord Jagannath and His Holy siblings will be given Nabajauban darshan to devotees at Srimandir here tomorrow.
The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) released the full schedule for Nabajauban darshan on June 29 today.
According to the schedule, Parimanik (paid) darshan will be available for one hour after the temple opens in the morning, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m.
The temple administration has established a schedule for general darshan. According to the schedule, devotees will be able to receive general darshan from 9 a.m. to 10.30 a.m., again from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., again from 6 p.m. to 6.30 p.m., again from 9 p.m. to 10.30 p.m., and again from 11.30 p.m.
This apart, the SJTA has also released the schedule for darshan of deities on the occasion of Ubha Jatra (a day before Ratha Jatra) on June 30.
A day before Ratha Jatra scheduled on July 1, the devotees can have glimpse of deities at the temple from 4 am to 6.30 am, from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm and from 3.30 pm to 5 pm on June 30.
The general darshan will be restricted for devotees from 6.30 am to 12.30 pm and from 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm.
However, general darshan will be restricted from 10.30 am to 2 pm, 3 pm to 6 pm, 6.30 pm to 9 pm, and 10.30 pm to 11.30 pm for special deity rituals at the temple.
Devotees will not be permitted to see deities after 5 p.m. on June 30 in order to prepare for the annual Ratha Jatra, which lasts nine days.
Notably, the Lord of the Universe grants darshan to His devotees after staying in Anasara for 14 days. The deities reappear in their youth on the day after they have recovered from the illness caused by the Holy bath on Snana Purnima. Following herbal treatment, Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra, Devi Subhadra, and Sudarshan recover from fever following herbal treatment including massage of Phuluri Tela — a medicinal oil, on their body and dose of Dasamula, herbal medicines prescribed by Raj Baidya (doctor engaged in service of Puri Gajapati King).
