The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced updated National Eligibility and Entrance Test Postgraduate (NEET PG) counselling dates for all-India, central, and state quota seats. The NEET PG 2025 round 3 counselling registration window has been reopened.
Registration for the round 3 AIQ round will close on January 26. The option filling window will also be open until January 26, and the round 3 seat allocation NEET PG results will be announced on January 29. There will be one more round of online stray vacancies.
The round 3 and stray vacancy round dates for state counselling have also been changed. The deadline for joining against round 3 for state counselling is February 6.
If a candidate registers for round 3 and is not assigned a seat, he or she is able to compete in subsequent rounds. If a candidate does not accept a Round 3 seat, he or she may be eliminated and lose their security deposit, as well as be barred from participating in future rounds of counselling given by the MCC and DGHS.
The counselling dates have been changed in response to the adjustment of the qualifying cut-off percentage for NEET PG. As per the revised NEET PG cut-off, general category candidates with 7th percentile (103 marks) are now eligible to sit for the counselling. SC, ST, OBC candidates with 0 percentile (–40 marks) and PwBD candidates qualify with 5th percentile (90 marks).
The mcc.nic.in website has made the revised counselling schedule and the information brochure of NEET PG counselling available.
The Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, is in charge of conducting online counselling for 50% of the all-India quota (AIQ) PG medical and dental seats.
All students who qualified for all-India quota seats based on their NEET PG rank are eligible to participate in the counselling procedure.
