NEET UG Counselling 2022: The Medical Counselling Committee announced today that the stray vacancy round for National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test undergraduate (NEET UG) 2022 counselling has been postponed. Candidates can view the new schedule at mcc.nic.in, the official website.
The stray vacancy round will begin today and end on December 28.
Candidates can opt out of the stray vacancy round between now and December 20. The processing of seats will take place between December 21 and 22. The outcome will be revealed on December 23. Furthermore, students must report to their designated colleges from December 24 to 28.
The MCC decided to postpone the counselling because the mop up rounds of UG counselling in many states were delayed and will conclude on December 18. To ensure that states complete their mop up round and that there is no overlap between the stray vacancy round of MCC and the state mop up round.
Students who do not want to participate in the stray vacancy round should log in to their account and select the ‘opt out’ option to avoid losing their security deposit. Candidates who participate in the stray vacancy round will be assigned seats based on their merit and choices made in the mop up round of counselling.
