NEET UG 2023: The dates for the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2023 counselling process are set to be announced. The timetable will be made available on the official website — mcc.nic.in — once the counselling dates are announced.
Medical aspirants should have their documentation ready before the counseling process begins. The following documents are required for MBBS candidates to participate in NEET UG 2023 counselling-
- Valid government issued photo ID card (Aadhaar, Passport, Voter ID)
- NEET UG 2023 scorecard
- Class 10, 12 marksheet
- NEET UG 2023 admit card
- Migration certificate
- Medical fitness certificate
- Category certificate, such as Caste, EWS, disability etc (if needed)
Meanwhile, the National Medical Commission (NMC) recently announced new guidelines stating that marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology will be prioritized. Previously, Biology was prioritized, followed by Chemistry, and finally Physics.
The Commission has also adopted a new tie-breaking policy, which is expected to go into effect early next year.
On June 13, NTA announced the NEET UG 2023 results, with Tamil Nadu’s Prabanjan J and Andhra Pradesh’s Bora Varun Chakravarthi securing the top places with 99.99 percentile scores. A total of 20.38 lakh applicants registered for the exam, with 11.45 lakh qualifying.
