NEET UG 2023: A NTA official confirmed to indianexpress.com that registration for the National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2023 exam will begin on March 5. Candidates will be able to apply once the notification is issued at neet.nta.nic.in, the official NTA website.
The National Testing Agency administers the NEET UG.
According to a senior NTA official, the application process for NEET UG 2023 will most likely begin on March 5. “The tentative date set by NTA for the start of NEET UG 2023 registration is March 5,” an official told.
The NEET UG 2023 exam is scheduled to take place on May 7, 2023, according to the official NTA calendar. While registration was previously scheduled to take place between the second and last weeks of January, an NTA official told indianexpress.com that the application process will take a little longer and will begin by the first week of March.
Meanwhile, the National Medical Commission (NMC) may conduct the NEET UG exam or designate any other agency or authority to do so, according to recently released draft regulations. However, the language, manner, and modalities, among other things, will be determined by the Undergraduate Medical Education Board.
According to the guidelines, no student shall be eligible to pursue graduate medical education in India or elsewhere unless they obtain the minimum eligible score on the NEET UG exam. To be eligible to take the undergraduate entrance exam, a candidate must have completed class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English.
