NEET UG 2024 Retest Result: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the revised NEET UG 2024 merit list and scores. The amended merit list scorecard link will be available on the NEET UG exams’ official website, nta.ac.in/NEET/. The results and toppers’ list are being changed after the Supreme Court ruled on Tuesday that compensatory marks given to a certain group of students for a Physics question be reversed.
Union Education Minister on Tuesday, July 23 had informed that the revised NEET UG results will be declared within the next two days.
Previously, the NTA decided to give a few students extra marks because the inaccurate answer they marked was based on an improper reference in their old Class 12 NCERT science textbook. However, on Tuesday, the Supreme Court ruled that there would only be one correct answer, and anyone who responded with anything other would not receive credit.
After the revised final NEET UG results are revealed, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) and state counselling bodies will launch the online counselling procedure for UG medical admissions. The exact dates are still to be determined.
PS: Candidates should be aware that the link to retrieve amended scorecards is already available at exams.nta.ac.in/NEET. However, it is not the download link for the scorecards that are set to be released today. Rather, the link to amended scorecards on the NTA website is outdated and was enabled after the results of the re-test for 1563 candidates were revealed, forcing all candidates to download their marks sheets anew.
