Five Indian nationals were on board the plane when it crashed in Pokhara, Nepal, on Sunday, and at least 30 bodies have been recovered so far.
According to airport officials, 53 of the 72 passengers onboard, including the crew, were Nepali citizens, five were Indian, four were Russian, two were South Korean, one was Irish, and one was from Argentina, Australia, and France.
Tek Bahadur KC, Chief District Officer of Kaski district, confirmed that the bodies of 30 passengers have been recovered so far.
According to Sudarshan Bartaula, spokesperson for Yeti Airlines, an ATR 72 aircraft flying from Kathmandu to Pokhara crashed between the old airport and the Pokhara International Airport.
Social media images and videos showed plumes of smoke billowing from the crash site.
The airport authorities said that they are still looking for survivors.
