Bhubaneswar: The new academic session in schools across Odisha will commence from May 1 with plan of 100 percent coverage of the syllabus, said School & Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash today.
Last year, the syllabus was reduced by 30 percent as classroom teaching was hampered due to the COVID-19 situation.
With significant improvement in the pandemic situation, the State Government has decided for covering the entire syllabus for the school students.
The minister further informed that the government was considering to restore the single phase board exams system which was held during pre-pandemic time as the CBSE is likely to do the same.
Practical exams for students of class-IX and class-X were also being mulled by the government, the minister added.
