After teasing the new CB650R with e-clutch technology, Honda has released the street naked in India for Rs 9.60 lakh ex-showroom. The 2025 Honda CB650R with e-clutch is now available for booking at all BigWing dealerships, with delivery set to begin in the last week of May 2025.
New Honda CB650R e-clutch — What’s special?
There are no design modifications, and the new CB650R e-clutch bike appears just like its manual counterpart. It preserves its simple look while adding a touch of classic style with its circular headlight and short exhaust muffler. The only clue is an extra piece of engine casing on the right side of the motorcycle, which contains the new clutch system.
On the hardware front, it keeps the USD forks, a monoshock at the rear, 17-inch wheels, disc brakes on both ends, dual-channel ABS, a TFT instrument cluster with phone connectivity, and other features. In the hardware section, nothing has changed.
The new Honda CB650R is powered by the famous 649cc inline-four cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which produces 94bhp and 62.3Nm. The engine is connected to a six-speed transmission. The motorcycle’s centerpiece is the gearbox, which allows for automatic shifts while also providing manual control.
