The next-generation Hyundai Verna has been launched in India, starting at Rs 10,89,900 and rising to Rs 17,37,900 ex-showroom. Hyundai includes six airbags, ABS, and EBD as standard equipment, as well as a three-year, unlimited-kilometer warranty. The Verna has reportedly received over 8,000 reservations in a single month, according to the manufacturer.
2023 Hyundai Verna: Exterior and interior
The new Hyundai Verna has a segment-leading 2,670 mm wheelbase and the most spacious boot space of 528 litres. With a split headlamp setup that includes a thin LED running the width of the car, the sedan gets long and sharp body lines.
The new Verna will be available in four variations and seven colors: silver, red, two shades of black, grey, white, and brown.
The new Hyundai Verna’s cabin features dual-tone beige-black interiors with soft-touch materials on the dashboard. It has a new two-spoke steering wheel. The sedan has heated and ventilated front seats (the first in the segment) as well as ambient lighting with 64 color options. 2023 Hyundai Verna: Safety
The new Hyundai Verna comes standard with over 30 safety features, including 6 airbags and ABS with EBD. To compete with the Honda City, the Verna now includes ADAS. ADAS features include forward collision warning, avoidance assist, smart cruise control with stop and go, and blind spot warning.
2023 Hyundai Verna: Engines and mileage
The all-new Hyundai Verna comes with two engines, including the previous NA 1.5-litre engine, which produces 115hp and 143.8 Nm. This engine is available with a 6-speed manual transmission and an IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission IVT). With this engine, Hyundai claims a mileage of 18.6 kmpl (MT) and 19.6 kmpl (IVT).
There’s also a sportier 1.5-litre Turbo GDi petrol with 160hp and 253 Nm. This engine comes with a choice of a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7 Speed DCT with paddle shifters. This engine claims a fuel efficiency of 20 kmpl(MT) and 20.6 kmpl (DCT).
