Kia India has launched the Seltos in the Indian market, with prices starting at Rs 10.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and rising to Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The car was previously presented in the country and has been available for reservation since December 11 for a nominal fee of Rs 25,000. According to the automaker’s announcement, deliveries will begin in mid-January. Here’s a glance at the new SUV’s specifications.

The current Kia Seltos is available in five different trim levels: HTE, HTK, HTX, GTX, and X-Line. The HTE is the base model, while the GTX is the top-end variant of this SUV. The pricing for the various trim levels are listed below.

New Kia Seltos: Design
The latest iteration of the Kia Seltos features a refreshed front design that showcases the brand’s global styling approach. It features a tiger nose grille, flanked by vertical lighting elements and a more upright profile. Additionally, this SUV sports new 18-inch alloy wheels and an updated tailgate design with connected taillights. Both the front and rear have been enhanced with new bumpers and gunmetal-finished skid plates.

The revised generation Seltos, built on the K3 platform, has been enlarged to make it the largest in its class, measuring 4,460 mm. Its width has been expanded to 1,830 mm, and its height to 1,635 mm. Furthermore, the wheelbase has been expanded by 80 mm, now measuring 2,690 mm.

The second-generation Kia Seltos’ cabin boasts a redesigned dashboard with new dual-tone highlights and leatherette upholstery, giving it a more contemporary appearance. The SUV now has a flat-bottom steering wheel with an offset brand symbol and a new 30-inch integrated dual-screen system with a single curved display. It also includes physical controls for various functions and rotary controls for specific features.

New Kia Seltos: Features
This version of the Seltos includes dual-zone climate control, seat ventilation, a wireless charger, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a heads-up display (HUD), powered driver seats, and an ORVM memory feature. It also includes an eight-speaker Bose music system, ambient lighting, rear reclining seats, and smart proximity key access, among other amenities.
In terms of safety, the vehicle includes six airbags, electronic stability control (ESP), hill-start assist, disc brakes on all four wheels, a 360-degree camera, an electronic parking brake, a remote control with over-the-air (OTA) updates, and Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) features such as lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and navigation-based smart cruise control. It also includes multiple traction control modes, such as Snow, Mud, and Sand.
New Kia Seltos: Powertrain
The new Kia Seltos offers options of two petrol engines and one diesel engine. It retains a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that produces 115 hp and 144 Nm of torque, a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that delivers 160 hp and 253 Nm, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine generating 116 hp and 250 Nm of torque. Available transmission options include manual transmission (MT), intelligent Variable Transmission (iVT), dual-clutch transmission (DCT), and automatic transmission (AT).
