Mahindra has added a new variant — Z8 Select — to the Mahindra Scorpio-N line-up. There are Z8 and Z8L models of the SUV already. Starting price (ex-showroom) for the Mahindra Scorpio-N Z8 Select is Rs 16.99 lakh. Dealerships will start selling it on March 1.
Two engine options are available for the Mahindra Scorpio-N Z8 Select: a 2.0-liter Stallion TGDi petrol (200PS and 380Nm) and a 2.2-liter mHawk CRDi diesel with 400 Nm and 175 PS. There are two different transmission options: 6-speed MT and 6-speed AT.

The Mahindra Scorpio-N Z8 Select gets features like dual-barrel LED headlamps, LED DRLs, LED projector foglamps and LED sequential turn indicators on ORVMs. It sits on 17-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. The new variant also gets an exclusive Midnight Black colour option.
Inside the cabin, you get a coffee-black leatherette theme. There is an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity and a 7-inch TFT cluster. The Adrenox Connect tech offers over 60 connectivity features. Besides, there is built-in Alexa and an electric sunroof.
Multi-tuned valve central land (MTV-CL) and frequency dependent damping (FDD) are features of the Mahindra Scorpio-N Z8 Select. All four disk brakes are also present. Six airbags and the electronic stability program (ESP) are included, among other safety measures. The Global New Car Assessment Programme awarded this SUV a five-star safety rating (GNCAP).
