A queue system will be implemented at the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri on January 1, 2025, to ensure an orderly and flawless darshan experience for devotees.
Law Minister Prithiviraj Harichandan stated that the new technique will increase crowd control and maintain discipline within the temple.
“We have made arrangements to ensure that devotees can have a smooth darshan of Lord Jagannath, whether they are in the Nata Mandap or the Bahara Katha area,” he said.
Under the new setup, devotees will enter the temple from one designated entry point and exit from another, simplifying the flow of visitors. Additionally, special arrangements will be in place for elderly devotees and persons with disabilities (PwDs) to make their visit more convenient.
The Law Minister requested the participation and collaboration of all stakeholders to enable the smooth implementation of the queue system, which is consistent with procedures used by other renowned temples across the country.
