“It was always my first choice to be in the administration as it gives a chance to work directly with the public,” said Soumyaranjan Mohapatra who secured rank 10 in the Odisha Civil Services (OCS) Exam 2021.
The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Monday announced the much-awaited results of OCS 2021.
“I have been preparing since long. I am happy that I have got a good rank. Last time, I secured rank 98. I had expectations and zeal to work hard.
Though I had got the OFS and am now under training, preparations usually get a cushion after you get a job which helps to prepare better,” said Mohapatra.
Mohapatra credited his family and friends who have always been supportive.
“My first choice has always been administration. But due to my rank, I got OFS. I will now get to work directly with the public and serve them,” he said.
Ambition
“I will work to ensure that government policies reach the public directly and fulfil the gaps. I have prior experience in administration during Odisha Revenue Service and now I can do much better now,” said Mohapatra.
According to Mohapatra, his focus will be on utilising cutting-edge technology to get closer to people and serve them.
Advice To Aspirants
During preparations, you cannot know whether you have any luck or not. It is only hard work and patience that are keys to success.
As OPSC and UPSC patterns are almost similar, aspirants need to prepare with great focus, he said.
