The Odisha Assembly’s Budget Session will begin on February 21, according to an official notification issued today.
The 12th session of the 16th Odisha Legislative Assembly will convene at 11 a.m. on February 21, 2023, in Bhubaneswar’s Assembly building.
On February 21, Governor Prof. Ganeshi Lal will deliver his address. The debate over the Governor’s address will last two days, on February 22 and 23. The meeting is scheduled to end on April 6.
The annual budget for the fiscal year 2023-24 will be tabled on February 24, 2023, according to a notification issued by the Odisha Parliamentary Affairs Department in response to an order issued by the Governor of Odisha on February 1.
There will be 27 business days and 18 no-meeting days during the session.
The budget will be discussed on February 27, 28, and March 1, according to the schedule. On March 10, the reports of department-related standing committees will be presented. The budget appropriation bill for fiscal year 2023-24 will be tabled on March 31. On April 4 and 6, private member’s business (bills and resolutions) will be presented.
