An all-party meeting will be held on February 16 to prepare for the Odisha Legislative Assembly’s next Budget Session. Speaker Surama Padhy will chair the meeting, which begins at 11:30 a.m.
The gathering is designed to guarantee that the session runs smoothly by encouraging cooperation among members of various political parties and debating crucial legislative issues.
The budget session of the Assembly will begin on February 17 with the Governor’s address. On February 20, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, who also holds the Finance portfolio, will submit the State Budget for the fiscal year 2026–27.
The session will be divided into two phases, with a total of 28 working days. The first phase will take place from February 17 to February 24, and the second phase from March 9 to April 8.
The Budget Session is scheduled to include in-depth talks on financial allocations, policy priorities, and major issues affecting the state’s development program for the following fiscal year.
