On Sunday, the Indian National Congress (INC) replaced candidates in five Odisha Assembly seats and announced its contender for the Nilagiri constituency.
According to the latest declaration, Akshaya Acharya will contest from Nilagari.
Congress’s most recent list of candidates included Debasis Nayak for the Bari Assembly seat. Nayak received the ticket two days after attending the party. He recently joined the BJP after quitting the BJD. After being refused a ticket, the former minister and four-time MLA severed connections with the BJP.
The grand old party has replaced Debi Prasanna Chand with Sudarshan Das in Jaleswar.
The party chose Himanshu Chaulia over Bijayananda Chaulia from Athamalik.
Similarly, Sudarshan Sahoo was picked for the Athagarh assembly seat instead of Maheboob Ahemad Khan. Uma Ballav Rath was handed a ticket to run in the Puri Assembly segment instead of Sujit Mohapatra.
Following Sucharita’s withdrawal from the election race, the Congress party announced Jay Narayan Patnaik as their contender for the Puri Lok Sabha seat on Saturday.
