Odisha Cabinet on Saturday approved five important proposals. The 29th cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, approved five proposals from four departments.
The Cabinet has approved a total cost of 1952.56 crore for the operation of 20O midi electric buses for the next ten years. Package VIII includes 10 buses for Keonjhar (25), Baripada (25), and Berhampur (50). Similarly, under Package IX, an additional 1,000 buses will be deployed in Angul (25), Jharsuguda (25) and Sambalpur (5O).
The State Cabinet today authorized a new scheme called “Aahaar,” with an investment of Rs. 512 crores for five fiscal years from 2025-26 to 2029-30, to satisfy expanding beneficiary demand and assure ongoing service of supplying subsidised meals at Rs. 5.
The Small Livestock Development Sub-scheme was approved by the cabinet as part of the Wildlife Resources Development Scheme. This initiative will cost Rs 294.36 crore over the next four years. The initiative will assist 23,735 farmers. The state’s annual fish production will grow by 5.2 kg to 7.4 kg per head.
