In Odisha, 78,938 out of 92,950 students passed the annual higher secondary (Class-XII) science examination, according to the results announced by school and mass education minister Sudam Marndi here on Wednesday.
Students can view their results at chseodisha.nic.in and orissaresults.nic.in, the official websites of the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE).
In the Science stream, 92,950 students out of 93,734 enrolled students took the yearly Plus-II science examination, with 78,938 passing the test administered by the CHSE, he added.
Of the 90,679 regular students who entered the scientific stream, 77,468 graduated. Similarly, 1470 out of 2437 ex-regular students passed the exam.
The annual examination results show that girls outperform boys. The pass rates for boys and girls were 84.28 and 85.67 percent, respectively.
While 358 pupils received greater than 90%, 291 schools had 100% scores, and two schools received no results. According to the Minister, Nayagarh district has the highest pass percentage of 96.41 percent, while Gajapati district has the lowest pass percentage of 61.55 percent.
Furthermore, he stated that 39,573 pupils received first division, 24,257 received second division, and 14,852 received third division in the Class XII science exams.
Odisha’s government has also announced the Class XII commerce results. According to Marndi, 24,331 students have enrolled in the commerce stream, 24,082 of whom have taken the exam and 19,536 have graduated. The overall pass rate in the commerce stream was 81.12.
Girls outnumber guys in the business world as well. The pass rate for boys and girls was 79.52 percent and 83.87 percent, respectively.
The Minister announced that 102 students received more than 90% in commerce. In the exam, 7410 students received first division, 4543 received second division, and 7492 received third division.
Nayagarh district has the highest 93.9 percent result, while Boudh district has the lowest with a pass percentage of 55.55, he said.
Students can get their marksheets through Digilocker beginning June 10. The results of Plus-II arts and vocational courses are expected to be announced on June 8, according to officials.
