The Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha begins the Summative Assessment (SA)-1 examination for Class X students today.
This year, over 5.25 lakh candidates will take the SA-1 exam at 3209 locations. The examination will take place at 316 nodal centers.
The question papers are distributed to the various examination centers by the nodal center. The examination centers’ security has been tightened.
This is the first edition of the High School Certificate Exam and the Madhyama Exam, also known as the SA-1 (Summative Assessment-1).
Summative Assessment-2, or SA-2, will be the name given to the second edition of the High School Certificate Exam and Madhyama Exam.
Both SA-1 and SA-2 have the same weightage, which is 40%. Final results will be published on the basis of 40 per cent weightage each for SA-1 and SA-2 and 20 per cent weightage for internal assessment.
