In a big announcement for the fire personnel, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has announced to increase the house rent and other allowances of the fire personnel of OFS.
The Chief Minister’s Office (CMO), posting on its official handle, X, informed about the increase in the house rent and other allowances of the fire fighters working in the Odisha Fire Services (OFS). The post read,” Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi’s strong initiative towards social security of fire fighters. For the welfare of fire fighters who provide prompt services to the people in various situations, their house rent and allowances have been increased. This will benefit 6058 fire fighters.”
This move will prove to be beneficial for the 6058 fire personnel engaged in the Odisha fire services. The following allowances to provide social security for fire fighters have been increased:
Diet allowance raised from Rs 900 to Rs 1400
Motorcycle allowance increased from Rs 300 to Rs 1050
Mobility allowance hiked from Rs 150 to Rs300
Risk allowance hiked from Rs 400 to Rs 1000
