On Saturday, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi began National Road Safety Month with the ‘Come Home Safe’ theme on Mahatma Gandhi Road in Bhubaneswar.
According to sources, an awareness rally was held from Master Canteen Square to Ram Mandir Square to commemorate the anniversary. The protest was attended by members of the transportation department, NCC cadets, students from various schools and universities, drivers, and artists.
The Chief Minister gave all participants a vow to obey road safety standards. In addition, artists staged a road safety skit in which they played the roles of Chandragupta and Yamaraj to raise public awareness about road safety.
Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, BMC Mayor Sulochana Das, MLAs, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja, and Director General of Police (DGP) Yogesh Bahadur Khurania were among those in attendance.
