Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik inaugurated 531 transformed high schools in five districts on the second day of the second phase of school transformation,
According to a press release issued by the Chief Minister’s Office, 105 of the 531 transformed high schools inaugurated on friday are in Dhenkanal district, 230 in Ganjam district, 73 each in Kandhamal and Nabarangpur districts, and 50 in Angul district.
Notably, in the second phase, 2,908 high schools were transformed.
The Chief Minister stated on the occasion that the transformation of schools has brought joy and excitement to the children. He went on to say that it had given them new hope and aspirations.
The Chief Minister stated that time spent in school is the best time in one’s life and that this transformation has provided us with an opportunity to groom our children to be the best.
For the success of the 5T high school transformation programme, the Chief Minister thanked the School Management Committee, Panchayat representatives, alumnus, and teachers.
He urged the students to make the most of this pivotal time in their lives by forging a new identity for themselves, their families, and Odisha.
Ministers Bikram Keshari Arukh and Prafulla Mallick, Deputy Speaker Rajinikanta Singh, and MLAs Angad Kanhar and Manohar Randhari all spoke out in support of the Chief Minister’s vision for human resource development.
During the Chief Minister’s interactions with students, a student from Nabarangpur, Juis Suna, drew the former’s attention to the difficulties they face in getting to school, and the former stated that more hostels for children will be built soon.
VK Pandian, Secretary to the Chief Minister (5T), organized the event. Suresh Mohapatra, Chief Secretary, and other senior officials were also present.
Ashok Meena, ACS Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department, gave the welcome address, and Ranjana Chopra, Principal Secretary, ST & SC Development, cast the vote of thanks.
