Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik used video conferencing to inaugurate six high-power grid substations in Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, and Khordha districts, as well as the Bolangir-Kesinga 220 KV transmission line.
The Chief Minister stated that the high power grid substations and the 220 KV double circuit transmission line will aid in providing people with safe and dependable power.
The aforementioned projects have received a total investment of Rs 450 crore.
According to the Chief Minister, electricity is the lifeblood of development, just as water is for everyone.
He urged people not to waste electricity and to put it to good use.
Patnaik stated that the new system will benefit farmers, students, and women in the districts of Kalahandi, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, Keonjhar, Sambalpur, and Khordha in particular. Small businesses and irrigation projects will benefit as well, he says.
The Chief Minister announced that the State government had launched the Odisha Distribution System Strengthening Project at a cost of Rs 3800 crore to provide quality power to the people, and that 430 33/11 KV substations had been operationalized as of now.
He added that the government has spent Rs 1800 crore in the fourth phase of this project to eliminate the state’s low-voltage problem.
Rural Development Minister Sushant Singh in Sambalpur, Public Enterprises Minister Ashok Panda in Khordha, Energy Minister Dibya Shankar Mishra in Kalahandi, Skill Development Minister Premanand Nayak in Keonjhar, and Gunupur MLA Raghunath Gamang in Rayagada all participated in the programme and agreed that development of power infrastructure in the state has accelerated development. They were extremely complimentary of the Chief Minister’s leadership.
