Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi will depart Bhubaneswar on Monday for a two-day trip to Jharkhand. According to the timetable, the Chief Minister will depart Bhubaneswar airport at 10 a.m. today, travel to Ranchi in Jharkhand, and then to West Singhbhum by helicopter.
Majhi will join the BJP’s ‘Parivartan’ rally in Kolhan, followed by a public gathering at Majhagaon School Ground at 3 p.m. He will arrive at Chaibasa Circuit House at 5:00 p.m. and spend the night there.
The Chief Minister will hold a public meeting in Chaibasa on Tuesday and travel from Ranchi to Bhubaneswar at 4 p.m. on the same day.
According to sources, the Chief Minister’s travel to Jharkhand is intended to bolster the BJP organization ahead of the neighboring state’s Assembly elections this year. West Singhdhum and Kolhan in Jharkhand are home to a large number of Odia-speaking people.
Senior BJP leaders, MPs, and MLAs from Odisha’s bordering districts of Sundargarh, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, and Balasore will also travel to Jharkhand to campaign for party candidates in the next Assembly elections.
