Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik hoisted the Tricolour flag at Unit-3 Exhibition Ground here on Monday to commemorate the nation’s 76th Independence Day.
On the occasion of Independence Day, the CM extended his greetings and best wishes to the people and paid tribute to the nation’s freedom fighters for their sacrifices and contributions. He also paid tribute to the immortal jawans who died in the service of their country.
In his address to the people of the state, the CM stated that the nation and the state have achieved many milestones in the last 75 years. Odisha has played a significant role in the nation’s development. Odisha’s transformation has entered a new era. Odisha’s success has served as an example for others.
He also stated that the state has evolved into a sports mecca in recent years. The school transformation program has given hope to the state’s children. Over 1 lakh children are currently enrolled in 315 Adarsha Vidyalayas across the state. The government plans to build 50 hostels for female students in Adarsha Vidyalayas.
On the occasion of Independence Day, the government unveiled 3000 monuments for various projects throughout the state’s 30 districts. Odisha has also implemented numerous beneficial programs for tribal and backward class people.
Finally, CM Naveen stated that the country will be 100 years old in only 25 years. As a result, we should start preparing right away.
