The Ernst & Young new technology hub in Bhubaneswar was opened today by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
Ernst & Young is the world’s largest provider of assurance, tax, strategy, transaction, and consulting services. Its new center in Bhubaneswar is the company’s 15th city in India. It demonstrates the firm’s dedication to the state’s expanding economic prowess and corporate landscape.
Inaugurating the facility, Chief Minister Patnaik said, “Over the years, resurgent Odisha has scripted success stories in many spheres. It is marching ahead with renewed confidence towards a New Odisha adopting new ideas, innovation, and entrepreneurship. All these factors have become the cornerstones of our state’s journey towards growth and development.
Odisha is embracing the digital era and cultivating a climate conducive to game-changing developments. Odisha’s rapid growth is fueled by a thriving environment that fosters entrepreneurship, technology innovation, and new age businesses. EY’s knowledge in these areas will surely be extremely valuable to our efforts. The opening of the EY Technology Centre is yet another watershed point in the State’s rapidly expanding IT, strategy, and consultancy ecosystem.”
Tusharkanti Behera, Hon’ble Minister Electronics & IT Department, echoed similar sentiments, describing EY Technology Centre as the anchor organization in the ESDM & Semiconductor space in Odisha. She added that, under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Bhubaneswar has become a hotspot for IT, ESDM & Consulting companies. EY’s seeding of the Technology Center has ushered in more opportunities for the State’s youth and driven the economy upwards.

The new Technology Hub will capitalize on EY’s mission of “Building a Better Working World.” EY’s insights and quality services will help to create trust and confidence in capital markets and economies around the world. The enhanced presence of EY in Bhubaneswar, with 15,000 sq ft of State-of-the-Art facilities at O-Hub, will generate chances for existing workers as well as enable the organization to harness potential talent from Odisha’s technical educational ecosystem. EY India will now have offices in 15 cities, including Bhubaneswar, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Mumbai, the NCR (New Delhi+ Gurgaon + Noida), and Pune.
It is worth noting that the Government of Odisha’s Electronics and IT Department is making substantial efforts to consistently attract major investments into the state’s IT/ITES and ESDM sectors. As a result, prominent IT/ITES/ESDM & global MNCs such as IBM, PWC, Deloitte, Concetrix, Happiest Minds, Infosys BPM, Synopsys, and Accenture have recently established Global Development & Outsourcing Centers in the State.
As Bhubaneswar continues to develop as a hub for IT services and consulting firms, EY Technology Centre will make a significant contribution to the creation of job opportunities for young people while also acting as a catalyst for the general expansion of the IT industry and the state’s economy.
