In a significant attempt to address long-standing complaints of the state’s teachers, the Odisha government has formed a high-level committee led by retired IAS officer Ashok Tripathy.
As declared by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in the State Assembly today, the committee chaired by Ashok Kumar Tripathy would investigate the requests of teachers, professors, and educational staff throughout the state and report back within six months.
The mandate applies to various institutions within the School & Mass Education Department and the Higher Education Department, including government, grant-in-aid, and non-grant-in-aid private institutions.
Associations representing teachers and employees in these fields routinely propose demands to the state administration. While these issues have been raised previously, the State Government is currently working to codify the resolution process.
