The state is seeing an increase in COVID-19 instances, with seven additional persons testing positive for the virus. According to Public Health Director Dr. Nilakanth Mishra, the total number of affected patients in the state is now 45. Twelve of these individuals have recovered, leaving 33 current cases.
This development comes amid a growing number of COVID-19 cases in the country. India’s active caseload has risen to 6,133, with Kerala, Delhi, and Maharashtra reporting the largest increases. The JN.1 variety is still the dominant strain, with new sub-variants NB.1.8.1 and LF.7 being intensively observed.
The health officials are closely monitoring the situation, and steps are being taken to limit the virus’s spread. Citizens are advised to follow COVID-appropriate behaviour and take necessary precautions to stay safe.
