A 44-year-old guy from Cuttack city tested positive for Covid-19 after exhibiting flu-like symptoms such as a cold and fever.
Following a blood test, the patient was proven positive and is currently under home isolation and treatment, with his condition stated to be stable, according to Cuttack CDMO Prasant Hota. He said that the patient had no prior travel history.
Health officials are tracing his contacts to avoid further spread and have advised the public to exercise caution and adhere to health rules.
This is the most recent instance in a spate of Covid-19 positive cases in the state, with four previous cases recorded primarily in Bhubaneswar and Khurda.
Nilakantha Mishra, Director of Public Health, reassured that there has been no alarming increase in instances so far and recommended those experiencing Covid symptoms, such as SARI and ILI, to visit their doctors and get tested if necessary.
