Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the two-day official visit of President Ram Nath Kovind to Odisha and his stay at the Raj Bhawan (Governor’s House) here, DGP Abhay today thoroughly reviewed the security arrangements by video-conferencing.
The DGP reviewed the measures with the ADGP (L&O), Intelligence Director, Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissioner, Intelligence Bureau (IB)’s Joint Director, Western Range IGP, Central Range DIG, Bhubaneswar DCP and SPs of Rourkela, Puri and Jharsuguda districts.
Officers of Bhubaneswar Airport Authority and CISF also attended the important meeting.
A thorough review of the security arrangements at all the visit locations in Rourkela and Puri as well as at the airports of Bhubaneswar and Jharsuguda and Raj Bhawan here were discussed, a press note of the Odisha Police Headquarters stated.
While the DGP emphasised on strict access control and anti-sabotage check and thorough security preparations with adherence to all Covid protocols, the district SPs apprised him on the arrangements being made to make sure full proof security in the course of the go to of President of India to Odisha.
Notably, the President of India is scheduled to address the convocation of Rourkela National Institute of Technology (NIT) on March 21 and also go to the Konark Sun Temple next day (March 22). He can be staying at the Raj Bhawan here during the two-day visit.
