On Friday, the 140th meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) chaired by Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja approved a new investment worth ₹4,739 crore. The projects are a crucial step toward Samrudha Odisha 2036, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi’s objective of inclusive and balanced industrial growth across the state.
Among the key projects, Colortone Textiles Pvt. Ltd., SCM Garments Pvt. Ltd., Hindalco Industries Ltd., and others made large-scale investments that are expected to create over 18,000 jobs. Chief Secretary Ahuja said the approvals underline Odisha’s strong policy framework and ease-of-doing-business environment. “The state is not only drawing big-ticket investments but also ensuring equitable opportunities across regions,” he noted.
Odisha is establishing itself as one of India’s most appealing investment hubs, with initiatives in textiles, steel, renewable energy, information technology, tourism, capital goods, logistics, and other industries. The government stressed that the approvals represent its commitment to sustainability, regional balance, and job development, strengthening the state’s long-term economic resilience.
Under Chief Minister Majhi’s leadership, Odisha is gradually transforming into a future-ready economy in which industrialization coexists with equitable growth.
