The Odisha government increased the retainer and daily fees of non-cadere law officers handling court cases by fifty percent on Friday. 1,215 law enforcement personnel who operate in different courts will profit from this.
184 Additional Public Prosecutors who are paid on a daily basis will now receive Rs 1,875 instead of the Rs 1,250 they were previously receiving, as a result of the fee increases. In a similar vein, they will now receive Rs 12,300 in retention payments, which were formerly Rs 8,200.
Furthermore, the daily fees of 740 working Assistant Public Prosecutors, who previously received Rs 1,100, have been increased to Rs 1,650. In terms of retainer payments, they will now receive Rs 6,000 as opposed to Rs 4,000. Eighty-five Special Public Prosecutors received Rs 1,250 as daily fees will now get Rs 1,875.
In terms of retainer fees, they would receive Rs 12,300 as opposed to the previous amount of Rs 8,200. Retainer fees of Rs 12,300 will now be paid to twenty-nine Government Pleaders and 113 Assistant Government Pleaders, who were previously paid Rs 8,200.
