Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to conduct the Class 10 Summative Assessment 2(SA-2), informed Chief Secretary Suresh Mohapatra on Friday. The exam will be mandatory for all Class 10 students.
Reportedly, the exams will be conducted from April 29, 2022 till May 6, 2022. The students will appear the Summative Assessment 2 (SA-2) in their own schools. In case the SA-2 cannot be conducted in the student’s own school, the exam will be conducted in a nearby school so that the students do not waste time or face any inconvenience.
The teachers from other schools will be appointed for the management of the exam, added Mohapatra. There will be only one exam per day and the exams will begin from 8 am on the respective dates.
He further said that the results for the Summative Assessment-2 exam will be published based on three-tier evaluation criteria fixed by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha. The three-tier evaluation will include the following:
- The weightage of Summative Assessment 1 and Internal Assessment will be doubled
- The weightage of Summative Assessment 2 will be doubled
- 20% of Internal Assessment, 30% of SA-1, 50% of SA-2
The highest score secured by a student in any one of the three methods will be taken as the final mark.
The BSE will release detailed guidelines regarding the conduct of the matric exam soon.
