Bhubaneswar: Odisha Higher Education Minister Arun Sahoo informed after a virtual meeting of Vice-Chancellors held today that the Undergraduate (UG) and Postgraduate (PG) examinations within the State are to be carried out via online mode by the month of July to August.

Sahoo mentioned that the decision to final year or last semester exams through online mode has been taken after a discussion with Vice-Chancellors of various universities. Students can also appear in any back paper examination in the same period via online mode.

The dates of the examination will be fixed by the concerned universities and autonomous colleges. Students who don’t have the required facilities at their home can visit their nearest degree colleges to attend the online examination, he added.

Sahoo further informed that the universities and autonomous colleges will decide on the procedure of the online examination. The authorities of these institutions have to ensure that the students are able to appear for the examination via online mode.

The decision has been taken only for the final year or final semester students. The decision relating to the conduct of examinations for other year or semester students will be taken later, he added.
