In order to address the increased incidence of divorces, the Odisha government is considering establishing mental health counseling centers around the state.
Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida announced that these centers will be called “Maa Ra Chhata” or Mother’s Court, and will offer couples counseling services before to marriage, with a focus on enhancing mental health, reducing divorce, and encouraging a better understanding of marriage.
The initiative aims to reduce the state’s rising divorce rate by providing couples with the skills and assistance they need to maintain strong, healthy marriages. Counselling centers will be established throughout Odisha, ensuring that couples from all over the state can easily access these services.
The development of these counselling clinics will be a big step toward making Odisha’s society more supportive and inclusive. The state government seeks to cut divorce rates and foster stronger, happier families by offering couples counsel.
