The Odisha government has decided to start online classes for students of standard 1 to 8 on YouTube from January 27, 2022 amid closure of schools due to the COVID-19 situation
The Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA) has asked all District Education Officers (DEOs) to take necessary steps in this regard.
The online classes on YouTube will be held five days a week from Monday to Friday, with one class per day.
Several WhatsApp groups having concerned teachers and students as members will be created class-wise, wherein links of live streaming will be shared a day before by 5 pm.
District administrations will take steps to create awareness at community-level for increasing participation of more students in the online classes.
In June last year, the state government had also decided for online classes on YouTube for students as schools were closed due to the second wave of COVID-19.
