Several districts in Odisha are expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall with thundershowers on Tuesday as a result of a low-pressure area over the North-Western Bay of Bengal, according to the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional center.
The state will experience heavy to extremely heavy rains during the next three days, according to the weather prediction.
Due to severe to very heavy rain today, 16 districts in Odisha have issued yellow and orange rain alerts. Malkangiri, Koraput, and Nabarangapur are all expected to receive significant rain. Rainfall in these locations could range from 115.6 mm to 204.4 mm.
Furthermore, the IMD has issued a yellow warning for heavy rain in 11 regions for tomorrow. A yellow notice has also been issued on September 7 in nine districts.
The MeT office predicts that another cyclonic circulation will emerge over the Bay of Bengal on September 11, and that it will develop into another low-pressure region by September 13, causing heavy rain in Odisha until September 15.
