Bhubaneswar: Another 1917 new positive cases of Covid-19 had been detected in Odisha till midnight of Thursday, reported the Information & Public Relations Department on Friday.
Among the new cased, 1109 are in quarantine and 808 are local contacts. With this, the total number of positive cases in Odisha now stands at 963851. District-wise details of the new cases are as under.

As many as 69 more COVID-19 patients succumbed to the deadly virus in the state taking the toll to 5,377.
The fresh deaths have been reported from 13 districts: highest 26 from Khordha district followed by 10 from Balasore, seven from Sambalpur and 6 from Kendrapada, 5 casualties have been reported from Bargarh districts, 4 from Sundargarh, two each from Rayagada, Kandhamal, Jharsuguda and Balangir, one each from Dhenkanal, Nuapada and Subarnapur.
