The 37th Executive Council Meeting of Mo School Abhiyan was held on wednesday, . Aswathy S, Secretary of the School and Mass Education Department, presided over the meeting, which approved proposals worth Rs 52.72 crore for 27 districts.
In the last month, 45,388 alumni have joined hands with Mo School Abhiyan, connecting funds worth Rs 12.56 crore for the holistic development of their alma mater. Mo School Abhiyan has received Rs 5 crore in grants from various CSR funds.
In conjunction with donor contributions, CSR funds, and a 2X matching grant from the state government, the Executive Council has approved projects totaling 52.72 crore to be used in the development of 5146 primary, upper primary, and high schools across the state.
Alumni have contributed Rs 2.44 crore in Balasore, Rs 2.02 crore in Jajpur, Rs 71.29 lakhs in Sambalpur, Rs 60.32 lakhs in Bhadrak, and Rs 54.62 lakhs in Bolangir. 7.51 lakh alumni have been connected with Mo School Abhiyan to date.
Following the successful inclusion of all schools under the ST & SC Development Department, the Executive Council received a proposal to include special schools within the scope of Mo School. The Council has decided to hold a detailed discussion with SSEPD officials to determine the best course of action.
The inclusion will help students with disabilities develop holistically. Mo School Abhiyan has accelerated service volunteering in all 30 districts with with an aim to inspire and aspire the young generation through their skills, expertise and interest.
In order to reach out to a larger number of alumni across the state, the Mo School team held alumni meetings in 298 blocks across 30 districts.
State Project Director- OSEPA and Member Secretary- Mo School, Additional Secretary, S&ME Dept., Financial Advisor, S&ME Dept., Director, Secondary Education, Director, Elementary Education, Director, TE & SCERT, COO, Mo School, and OSD, Mo School were also present.
