As many as 262 Assistant Professors and 88 Junior Executive Assistants joined the state government. According to an official press release, a Nijukti parba program was held at the State Convention Centre in Lok Seva Bhawan for this purpose.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik stated that making our children employable or self-employed is one of the most important issues for higher education.
Then he went on to say that there is a need for our students to leave their institutes more secure in their ability to make a difference in their own lives and, ultimately, in society. Teachers and academics play an important part in this situation. Aside from effective instruction, they should encourage confidence, inspire positivity, and give their life meaning. Only a teacher can successfully achieve this. He stated that he has complete trust in all of the lecturers and professors. He expressed optimism that they will be able to successfully transform the pupils into valuable assets to our country.
The CM congratulated the assistant professors and stated that higher education is an important platform for students to enter the world of professional careers. Students can take divergent career options and contribute to society in various capacities. So this is one key sector, where we are increasingly putting our focus on, he added.
He stated that the state government had hired nearly 4,000 instructors at government colleges since 2016-17.
He stated that the state is giving various scholarships, computers, virtual library facilities, ‘green passage’ for orphan kids, and launching the ‘Mo College’ campaign to increase alumni involvement in enhancing the education ecosystem.
He also stated that the government is expanding its research spending. He stated that the state will invest more than Rs 216 crore over the next five years on the Chief Minister Research & Innovation Students’ Scholarship Scheme.
He went on to say that the position of Junior Executive Assistant in the State Secretariat is particularly important. They are here to serve the people of Odisha as government employees. Their honesty and dedication to their employment would be vital to our efforts to transform Odisha. He expected them to do their absolute best in the service of our state.
Speaking about the state’s 5T initiative to transform the state, he wanted everyone to follow this governance module and contribute to the transformation of the state.
He expressed gratitude to the Home Department and the Higher Education Department for their recruitment initiatives.
He directed that all departments make concerted efforts to fill empty positions on a regular basis.
Higher Education Minister Atanu Sabyasachi joined the program and described his department’s efforts to recruit instructors and improve teaching quality in colleges and universities. He praised the Chief Minister’s vision and leadership in strengthening higher education in the state.
According to Chief Secretary PK Jena, steady recruitments in all departments have strengthened the government machinery. He urged professors to educate future generations of students in accordance with current demands.
The Chief Minister announced the guidelines for the Mukhya Mantri Research & Innovation Fellowship Programme (MRIP) and the Mukhya Mantri Research Fellowship Test at the program.
Dr. N Tanmaya Kumar and Sangeeta Mishra, both Assistant Professors, presented their recruitment process experiences. They claimed that the procedure was really efficient and transparent. They committed to bringing about qualitative change in education and to inspiring students to achieve success. Surya Narayan Das, a junior executive assistant, shared his experience and praised the 5T philosophy, which was evident throughout the recruitment process.
VK Pandian, the CM’s secretary, was present during the program.
The welcoming message was presented by Additional Chief Secretary Home DK Singh, while the vote of appreciation was proposed by Secretary Higher Education Aravind Agrawal.
