Devotees will be restricted from seeing sibling deities at Puri Jagannath Temple beginning at 1.30pm today due to the reopening of Ratna Bhandar.
According to sources, Ratna Bhandar will be reopened for the relocation of the almirah and chest. The Almirah and Chest will be relocated from Ratna Bhandar to a room adjoining the Niladri Museum.
According to reports, the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) and the inventory committee created by the state government have set a precise time to open the Ratna Bhandar for this purpose. As a result, the general darshan of Lord Jagannath will be closed from 1 p.m. until the shifting is complete. However, devotees can buy Mahaprasad at Ananda Bazaar. The darshan will resume after the shifting is completed, said the Srimandir Deputy Administrator.
According to reports, Srimandir’s inner and outer treasuries contain three wooden almirahs, one steel almirah, two wooden chests, and one iron chest. All of the ornaments are housed in the Khata Sejaghar and Changada Ghara, which are located adjacent the strong room.
