The state collected Rs 4397.73 Cr in Gross GST during May 2023, compared to Rs 3955.75 Cr in the same month the previous year, representing an 11.17% increase.
The progressive Gross GST collection up to May 23 is Rs 9433.47 Cr, compared to Rs 8865.98 Cr up to May 22, representing a growth rate of 6.40%.
Furthermore, the collection to be kept by the State, which includes OGST and IGST settlement, increased by 30.28% in May’23, with a collection of Rs. 1675.77 Cr compared to a collection of Rs 1286.29 Cr in May’22.
The progressive collection to be kept by the State (OGST + IGST Settlement) through May 23 is Rs 4034.94 Cr, up from Rs 2966.29 Cr on May 22. This is a 36.03% increase.
The collection under all Acts overseen by the Commissionerate of CT & GST, Odisha, comprising GST/ VAT/ Entry Tax/ Profession Tax, is Rs 2711.04 Cr in May’23, compared to Rs 2311.78 Cr in May’22, representing a 17.27% increase.
In comparison to May 2023, 20.40 lakh waybills were generated. 17.26 lakh waybills were generated in May 2022, representing an 18.19% increase, demonstrating the economic sector’s vibrancy.
