Odisha saw a 38.22% increase in GST collection in August this year when compared to the same time previous year.
According to the CT&GST Commissionerate here, the state’s monthly GST (OGST and IGST) collection in August 2023 will be Rs 1,733.62 crore, up from Rs 1,254.24 crore in August 2022, a 38.22% increase.
Odisha collected Rs 8,877.21 crore in GST (OGST and IGST) through August, with a progressive growth rate of 21.40 percent, according to the announcement.
The state’s OGST collection stood at Rs 1,332.99 crore in August this year, up from Rs 1,028.07 crore in August previous year, representing a 29.66% increase.
The overall GST (OGST+IGST+SGST+Cess) collection in the state reached Rs 4,408.27 crore in August 2023, up from Rs 3,883.90 crore in August 2022, representing a 13.50% increase.
The collection under all Acts supervised by the CT and GST Commissionerate in the state, including GST/VAT/Entry Tax, was at Rs 2,793.38 crore in August this year, compared to Rs 2,219.81 crore in August last year, representing a 25.84 percent increase, according to the GST release.
