Odisha on saturday reported 205 number of COVID-19 cases report, while more than half of these were from Khurda district alone.
Besides, the 2 deaths reported in the State during the last 24 hours are from Khurda. Over the last one month and more, the trend (new COVID cases in Khurda) has remained similar.
Till Sunday, Khurda had 1,220 active cases. The district has so far reported 1,78,059 cases of COVID-19, 1,75,362 recoveries and 1,574 deaths.
Capital City Bhubaneswar has been the major contributor to the figures of Khurda.
As per reports shared by the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation, till November 20 (9 am), Bhubaneswar had reported a total 1,20,454 cases of COVID-19 )over the last one year and seven months).
The City has reported 1,077 COVID deaths and has at least 1,500 active cases. Total 1,17,819 persons have recovered in the city from COVID-19 so far.
On the other hand, Odisha’s COVID tally stands at 10,47,208 with 2,500 active cases (1,500 of this figure is from the Capital City alone).
Total 8,395 persons have lost their lives to the disease in Odisha while 53 have who had coronavirus infection succumbed due to reasons other than COVID, the State (COVID) dashboard stated.
In Odisha, 10,36,493 persons have recovered from the deadly virus.
