Odisha reported 593 new COVID-19 positive cases in the last 24 hours while 4 more persons succumbed to the virus as the toll mounted to 8227.
Khurda district registered highest 290 fresh infections, followed by Cuttack (84) and Mayurbhanj (27).
With this, the COVID-19 tally in the state rose to 1029412 with 4967 active cases.
