Bhubaneswar: With detection 628 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours, Odisha’s total caseload today further surged to 10,18,926.
With a total of 62,238 samples tested in the last 24 hours, the test positivity rate (TPR) stands at 1.009%.
The new infectees include 96 children aged below 18 years.
Of the total fresh cases detected from 23 districts, 367 are quarantine cases and 261 local contacts. Khordha district continued to report highest fresh infections with 291 people contracting the virus. Cuttack district reported 72 cases. On the other hand, Balangir, Deogarh and Ganjam districts reported only one fresh case, each.
The number of active cases in the state now stands at 5906.
