Bhubaneswar: In view of the state-wide bandh call given by the Congress party tomorrow (February 15) and the following day (February 16) being Saraswati Puja, the Odisha Government has determined to shut the schools across the State on the 2 days.
Speaking to media, Odisha School and Mass Education (S&ME) Minister Samir Dash informed, “As a bandh call has been given by the Congress party tomorrow from 7 am to 1 pm, the State Government has decided to keep all the schools shut keeping in view the safety and security of the students.”
He explained, “The classes of Std IX students start from 8.30 am and the classes of Std X students from 11 am. The second point is celebration of Saraswati Puja on February 16. Thus, it has been determined to maintain all the schools closed on the 2 days.”
